Golf & Softball Tournament

Softball on Sat & Sun, Oct 31- Nov 1, 2009

GOLF: We will be using two courses, PELICAN BAY or INDIGO LAKES. Those who wish to participate in the 36-hole two-man scramble will tee off on one course on Thursday, Oct 29, and complete their tournament on the other on Friday, Oct 30.

SOFTBALL: All games will be played at the ORMOND BEACH QUAD and will be open to all Senior Age Divisions. Teams will choose their own level of competition, which are:

CUP DIVISION: Play for the FLORIDA CUP and NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP. Entry Fee: $450

COMPETITIVE DIVISION: Play against equal competition. Entry Fee: $425.

RECREATIONAL DIVISION: Play against other Rec Teams. Entry Fee: 395.

NOTE that we are including an Over 40’s Division.

SOFTBALL FORMAT: Each team is guaranteed a minimum of 4 games. Tournament will be run as a Double-Elimination format with NO Time Limit for any game. A Maximum of 6 runs will be allowed in each half-inning with NO Catch-up rule in effect until the final inning. Run Rule will be in force: 18 after three; 15 after four and 12 after five. There will be NO LIMIT on the number of Home Runs.

While the Golf Tournament is open to all, it is not required of all softball players. You can choose to play golf or not. If you elect to play, the FEE is $79.00 which will include both rounds, green fees, shared carts and refreshments. HOST HOTEL is the DAYTONA INN BEACH RESORT at 219 S. Atlantic Avenue on Daytona Beach. Room Rates will range from $59 to $79. Call Mike Yaz for golf information or to book your rooms. 386-383-4362.

Registration for all Softball Teams will be held at the hotel on Friday evening. The hotel will also provide us with a Beer Party down at the pool on Saturday after the games. The Atlantic Ocean is only a few feet away, so bring your suits.
